Los Angeles Rams: 3 Takeaways from Week 5 Win vs. Seahawks

Despite Injuries Other Guys Stepped Up for the Rams Offense

Throughout the entirety of this game, the Rams suffered two unfortunate injuries to key guys on their offense. Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp both were in the concussion protocol.

Those are two guys that have accounted for 800 receiving yards combined coming into Week 5. That’s a lot of production lost if these guys are out.

The Rams were able to keep their offense going cause obviously (sarcasm) cause they are system WRs. They’re not, but other guys made plays in their absence to help the Rams keep the momentum on offense.

When those two are out, Robert Woods becomes the de facto number one guy. He stepped up in a huge way, with five receptions for 92 yards. Woods also added on a surprising 53 rushing yards.

There were a few others who had opportunities with the injuries the Rams had. Josh Reynolds, Tyler Higbee, Gerald Everett and KhaDarel Hodge all stepped up.

All of those guys combined for eight receptions that went for 103 yards. That was enough to keep the offense rolling in this game.

All Rams fans will be anxiously waiting to see if Kupp and Cooks are active in Week 6, when they travel to Denver.
