Los Angeles Rams: Full Report-Card Grades for Weeks 1 through 4

USA TODAY Sports

Safety

Grade: B

The Rams have a more than talented secondary, including their safeties.

This group is led by Lamarcus Joyner and John Johnson. Johnson is in his second season, really impressing in his first two years.

One thing that the Rams have struggled with, is stopping tight ends this year. That responsibility has fallen on the safeties.

In Week 1, Jared Cook (former Ram) went off for 180 yards on nine receptions. Despite Johnson getting an interception, Cook was able to do whatever he wanted all night.

They’ve yet to allow a touchdown to a TE, but the yards per catch is eye-opening.

They are allowing 14 yards per catch to opposing TEs this season, which can’t happen against teams who have a very talented guy at the position.

For now, this group gets a B grade, with a lot of room to improve as a group.
