Los Angeles Rams: Full Report-Card Grades for Weeks 1 through 4

Tight End

Grade: D

This is probably the worst area for the Rams so far this year. Despite Tyler Higbee catching a touchdown in Week 2, the tight ends haven’t done much.

Higbee and Gerald Everett have combined for just six receptions for 71 yards and one score this season. That’s surprising to me, especially in a McVay offense that loves to utilize TEs.

With his time with the Washington Redskins, McVay loved to use Jordan Reed a ton. Obviously neither TEs for the Rams are Reed, but you’d expect more from them at the least.

I understand the Rams have a deep WR group and there’s plenty of mouths to feed. I don’t know if the issue is the play from both guys or they just aren’t game planned to have a role in this offense.

We’ll see if this changes at all going forward, but as of now it’s been an absolutely disappointing start for the TEs.
