John Johnson III: 2 Tackles, 1 Pass Deflection, 1 Interception
John Johnson III has been absolutely phenomenal for the Rams since last season. The thing is, he is only in his second season.
Johnson recorded another interception on Sunday, giving him three on the year. He only had one last year, but has vastly improved his coverage skills since then.
The second-year safety won’t turn 23 until December, leaving the Rams coaching staff in awe of his rapid development.
Every week he seems to be around the ball the majority of plays, putting himself in positions to make a play like he did in Week 7.
Here is his amazing interception against the 49ers on Sunday.

With him constantly making plays like this, it makes this defense even more lethal. Johnson will look to increase his interception streak to three games, in Week 8 against the Packers.
