Miami Dolphins: 3 Keys to Victory in Week 2 vs. New York Jets

The Miami Dolphins kicked off the 2018 NFL season in grand — albeit strange — fashion. In what turned out to be a weather-delayed, longest-game-in-NFL-history tilt, the Dolphins defeated the Tennessee Titans. They now sit atop the AFC East standings ahead of their first divisional game of the season, against the rival New York Jets.

The Jets looked spectacular in their Monday Night Football opener. They dismantled the Detroit Lions and nearly put up 50 points, thanks in large part to a dominant defensive performance. It was a surprising showing for a team most thought to be one of the weaker in the NFL.

With both teams sitting atop the division, along with the New England Patriots, the winner of Sunday’s game will be sitting pretty to begin the season. It’s early, and the NFL schedule is a marathon, not a race. Still, starting off 2-0 with a win over a divisional opponent is a great way to start.

What will the Dolphins need to do on Sunday to come out with a win? It won’t be easy, but here are my top 3 keys to victory.
