Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Fires Shot At Fans, Media In Cryptic Post

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill took to social media to make a rather interesting post on Friday, firing what seems like a shot at an anonymous player.

So, who could Hill be talking about here?

We will obviously never get Hill to reveal the target, but clearly, he is frustrated with fans and media pundits hyping up players (or teams) before they accomplish much of anything.

Just a shot in the dark here, but could Hill maybe be talking about Caleb Williams?

The Chicago Bears selected Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft last month, and there are already massive expectations for the USC product.

Some have the Bears pegged as a playoff team, and others even feel Chicago may be able to make a deep postseason run with Williams under center.

This even though the Bears won just seven games last season and have only made two trips to the playoffs over the last 13 years.

To be fair, Chicago’s roster certainly looks a heck of a lot better this year than in 2023. The Bears added Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze to a receiving corps that already housed DJ Moore, and they also signed pieces like running back D’Andre Swift and tight end Gerald Everett in free agency.

So, on paper, Chicago looks good.

However, C.J. Stroud may have placed unrealistic expectations on first-year quarterbacks thanks to the magnificent rookie campaign he had with the Houston Texans this past season.

Many have already likened Williams to Stroud, and some have even compared him to Patrick Mahomes.

The amount of pressure that will be on Williams to produce right off the bat in 2024 will be tremendous.

Of course, we don’t know who Hill is really talking about here. He may be talking about Williams. He may be talking about the New York Jets, who play in Hill’s division and are being hailed as Super Bowl contenders by some. Heck, he may be not even be talking about anything football-related.

But, based on all of the hype that Williams and the Bears are generating this offseason, it’s pretty hard not to connect the dots.

Meanwhile, Hill and the Dolphins are coming off of a 2023 campaign in which they won 11 games and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Hill led the NFL in both receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) last season, hauling in 119 receptions.

Tyreek Hill has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first eight NFL campaigns and has also earned five First-Team All-Pro selections.
