Minnesota Vikings: 3 Best Performances from Week 1 vs. 49ers

The Minnesota Vikings came into the 2018 NFL season as one of the top teams to beat in the NFC. In Week 1, they had a test immediately against the Jimmy Garoppolo-led San Francisco 49ers. That was a test that Mike Zimmer’s football team faced and aced by a final score of 24-16.

While the game might not have been the prettiest of performances, the Vikings were able to get the job done on both sides of the football. Offensively, Kirk Cousins and company were able to move the ball and put points on the board. Defensively, the Vikings were able to give Garoppolo trouble and made things difficult on the 49ers’ offense.

Coming out of their Week 1 win, confidence has to be high in Minnesota. The Vikings will travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. Aaron Rodgers may not play due to the knee injury that he suffered against the Chicago Bears last week, but either way, the Vikings have to like their chances.

For the first time in a long time, the NFC North looks like it will be the Vikings’ to win or lose. Green Bay is not viewed as the best team in the division anymore.

All of that being said, which three players came through with the best performances for the Vikings in Week 1 against the 49ers?
