1. Spencer Rattler: QB, Oklahoma

The hype is growing and growing fast around Rattler. He was the top-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2019 and 29th overall player. Rattler did not see much time in 2019 because Jalen Hurts was busy tearing up the field. He finished the season 7-11 for 81 yards and a touchdown in three games.

The expectations are much higher in 2020 with Hurts now in Philadelphia. Rattler finds himself as No. 1 on this list for two reasons. First, he is a complete unknown. Rattler is expected to be dynamic, but he has no track record as of now. Second, he is playing at Oklahoma for Lincoln Riley where Heisman finalists are breed.

Hurts was named a Heisman finalist in 2019. In the previous two years, Oklahoma quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray were both named Heisman Trophy winners. The history is there. Oklahoma is a team that likes to play fast and score whenever they can. The Big 12 is not known for their defensive power, so chances are always there for the Sooners.

Rattler can be compared to a Mayfield or Murray because of his size. At 6’0, 200 pounds, Rattler is an incredible athlete with great speed. Now, we have to wait and see if he can perform like the other Sooner greats of recent years.
