Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns had a productive 2019 season with it ending after a 38-10 win over #12 Utah at the Alamo Bowl. It should serve as a stepping stone for greater results during the upcoming season considering they had some shortcomings that prevented greater success.
The offense will be returning Sam Ehlinger at quarterback who could very well end up being a contender for the Heisman Trophy. The Longhorns will be adding new layers to its offense with Mike Yurcich in the offensive coordinator role.
Texas has plenty of talented defensive players returning from last year’s team. In fact, this unit has nine starters returning, so it’s safe to say there will be strong continuity from a player personnel standpoint.
The talent is there for the Longhorns to give any team in the Big 12 a real challenge, even Oklahoma. There will be a prime opportunity to showcase whether Texas really is ‘back’ early against LSU on Sept. 12, then again during a Oct. 10 face-off with the Sooners.
