Kadarius Toney, Florida

The focus may not be on Kadarius Toney when it comes to thinking about SEC wide receivers heading into the 2020 season. He is a high-potential prospect that could quickly rise up draft boards with a productive season for the Florida Gators.

A shoulder season caused Toney to miss six games last season and that caused his overall production to take a significant hit. He made great work of his touches when they came his way by averaging 11.5 yards per touch. That kind of big play ability is always intriguing to see.

There will need to be growth from Toney in the route-running department to display more functionality beyond just potential that could eventually come to fruition. He has incredible explosiveness and that should catch the attention of NFL scouts, nevertheless.

It was wise for Toney to return to Florida considering this year’s draft class featured such a deep group of wide receivers. Having a productive season that features more of developed route-tree could help him to quickly rise up draft boards, but for now, don’t expect him to go early.
