Jaylen Waddle, Alabama
Most teams would take a step back after losing two first-round talents to the NFL Draft at the same position. That will not be the case for the Alabama Crimson Tide as they still have a dynamic duo at wide receiver between Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith leading the way.
With both Jeudy and Ruggs III now in the NFL, there is massive room for Waddle to boost his production in 2020. Last season, he hauled in 33 catches for 560 yards and six touchdowns despite being in such a crowded position group.
Perhaps most of all is he averaged over 12 yards after the catch per reception last season, which was more than all receivers in college football. His explosiveness makes him tough to take down in the open-field and with real ability to create separation the final product is a very intriguing prospect.
The current expectation is that Waddle ends up being selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. A great showing in the athletic testing portion of the NFL Scouting Combine could help boost his stock similar to how his former teammate, Ruggs III, befitted this year.
