4. Zamir White, Georgia
Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, D’Andre Swift, and now Zamir White? With Swift now in the NFL, White will take over as the team’s lead back. And he has some big shoes to fill as a Bulldog.
As a redshirt freshman in 2019, White showed great promise. He only carried the ball 78 times but totaled 408 yards which is an average of 5.2 yards per carry. He found the end zone three times. White thrived on January 1 during the Allstate Sugar Bowl against Baylor. He carried the ball 18 times for 92 yards and a touchdown.
It is next man up in the SEC. When one dynamic player leaves, another steps in. The same will happen at the quarterback position as Jamie Newman prepares to replace Jake Fromm. Georgia is not as talented at wide receiver as they have been. Their offensive line is a new group as well. White will have a chance to get the bulk of the carries and prove he is a difference maker.
White’s skill set is that of a future great running back in the conference. Georgia will run their offense through White to take pressure off their quarterback.
