1. Najee Harris, Alabama
Alabama has a history of pumping out strong running backs into the NFL. Harris could be next on that list. He was the Crimson Tide’s feature back in 2019 and he did not disappoint.
Harris carried the ball 209 times for 1,224 yards and 13 touchdowns. He added 27 catches for 304 yards and seven touchdowns. Harris seemed to play better when the lights were brightest. Against No. 1 LSU, he finished with 146 yards and a score. Harris put up the same numbers against No. 15 Auburn. In the VRBO Citrus Bowl, Harris finished with 136 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.
There is no doubt that Harris is a professional back, but what level? He has the size at 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds. Harris is known for being a strong back who plays with physicality. He will not be the fastest runner in the league, but his skill set could take over at the next level.
Alabama knows how to use Harris and will continue to showcase him on the field. The Crimson Tide can ride their star back for as long as they want. Harris is a durable player with a meanness on the field. It helps to play for one of the best programs over the last decade.
