2 interesting options for New England Patriots to replace Tom Brady

Cam Newton

Cam Newton may not be the best fit in New England attitude wise, but that doesn’t mean this marriage can’t come to fruition. The Patriots will need to trade for Cam if they want to get him. With just five draft picks to work with and no second rounder, a trade will have to include a player as well.

If the trade market for Newton ends up not amounting to much, he could theoretically get cut from Carolina. If that’s the case, Newton to the Patriots makes a lot more sense.

Working in a precise, timing based offense would be a change for Cam, but with his talent he could make it work. Newton pairing with Bill Belichick seems like a weird fit to say the least, but all Belichick cares about is winning. If he believes Newton gives the Patriots the best chance to win, expect him to do whatever he can to snag him.
