New England Patriots: Re-Drafting the entire 2019 NFL Draft

Greedy Williams, Patriots

Round 2- 45th overall

The Patriots swung on Vanderbilt cornerback Joejuan Williams with the 45th overall pick. According to Pro Football Reference, Joejuan only played 80 defensive snaps last season. He didn’t make an immediate impact.

Greedy Williams didn’t exactly thrive as a rookie, and questions about his maturity seem founded. However, this pick came down to either taking Williams or Lonnie Johnson. Johnson didn’t play well as a rookie either.

The Patriots needed cornerback depth, and Williams offered the most potential at this spot.
