New Orleans Saints: 5 Reasons Team Will Repeat In NFC South

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

5. Strength of Schedule

While the New Orleans Saints have an impressive set of athletes on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, the team seems to have a pretty favorable schedule. While they play teams like defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, and Pittsburgh Steelers, they play all those teams at the Mercedes Benz Superdome.

Their toughest road contest outside of the mandatory divisional games is an NFC Divisional Round rematch against the Minnesota Vikings in late October. Outside of that game, however, the Saints can likely coast through the rest of their non-division games as they travel to play the New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Dallas Cowboys.

The Saints have always given opponents fits in the Superdome and the 2018 season shouldn’t be any different. The Who Dat Nation should help give the Saints an extra advantage.
