The New York Giants won a must win game in Week 3, defeating the Houston Texans 27-22. With the victory, the Giants get their first win of the season, improving to 1-2. This was a good win for the men in blue, avoiding putting themselves in a near insurmountable hole of 0-3.
This is a massive victory for Pat Shurmur and company, at least giving them a chance to get back in the division race. There isn’t one team in the NFC East that has shown they will run the division with ease, leaving the door slightly open for the G-Men.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Like in Dumb and Dumber, yes, there truly is a chance for the Giants going forward. They’ll need to build on their win to continue pushing for their ultimate goal of winning division, which in turn gets them in the playoffs.
This is a roster on paper that should make the postseason, but haven’t shown that type of ability just yet. A win against the Texans is a step in the right direction, but it’s baby steps for the Giants currently.
A couple of guys stood out in Week 3, helping a team who was desperate to win, squeak out a victory in Houston. Here are the guys who contributed in a huge way, to take the Giants out of the conversation of being a win-less team this year.
