Odell Beckham Jr.: Nine Receptions, 109 yards
The Giants took initiative in getting Odell Beckham the ball as much as possible. Anyone with common sense knows you need to get a guy like him any chance to make plays.
He did just that, racking up nine catches for 109 yards. In this offense he should have days like this consistently, but is hard to gauge how he’ll do based off of Manning’s erratic production.
Everyone that watches football knows Beckham is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and is arguably one of the most talented players in the league. There’s no doubting that, but he can’t throw himself the ball (or could he?).
Although he is very gifted as an athlete and WR, his production relies on Manning’s ability to get him the ball. You also have to come up with a game plan to get the rock in his possession as well.
For Giants fans, it was a pleasant sight-seeing Beckham and Manning on the same page again. In Week 1, he was able to do anything he wanted against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with 11 receptions for 111 yards.
In Week 2 though he was nowhere to be found with just four catches for 51 yards. He has still yet to reach the end zone, hoping to do so in Week 4 against the Saints.
