Saquon Barkley 17 Rushes, 82 Yards, Touchdown, 5 Catches, 35 Yards
It will be just a matter of time until people start talking about Saquon Barkley as one of the best running backs in the NFL. I know it’s his first year in the league, but his ability is other-worldly.
The huge reason Barkley is able to be so productive, is his capability to catch passes out of the backfield. If he wants to be considered one of the best in the NFL, he’ll need to be a dual-threat guy like the other elite RBs.
In Week 3, Barkley put all of his abilities on display, creating a problem for the Texans defense. When you have an RB like Barkley, the way you pressure a QB can be different and your defense has to stay honest to prevent him from making big plays.
The Texans were unable to do so, allowing him to get 117 yards from scrimmage, allowing the Giants to keep control of the game. Barkley will need to continue to be a focal point of this Giants offense going forward if they plan on making noise in the NFC.
Look for Barkley to keep rolling in Week 4, against a Saints defense who is allowing offenses to put up points in bunches.
