Sterling Shepard: 5 Receptions, 167 Yards
Sterling Shepard is an underrated WR in the NFL. He’s not really well-known due to the fact of playing with a QB who is on the decline.
With Manning unable to push the ball downfield, their passing attack usually relies on Shepard and Beckham to make plays on short passes.
Shepard was able to make the best of his receptions last night, averaging 33.4 yards per catch. Him and Beckham will be dangerous together for years to come.
Here’s an impressive catch he made last night.

On this play he shows his strong hands and his elusiveness in the open field. He’s a great route runner as well, making him an up and coming WR in the NFL.
It was nice to see Shepard get involved in this game, as it sometimes feels as if Manning tries to force it to Beckham the majority of the time.
If the Giants want to improve any, they should keep Shepard heavily involved in their aerial attack. We’ll see if this holds true in Week 8, when they face the Washington Redskins.
