Eli Manning: 19-31, 188 Yards, 3 Touchdowns
In yesterday’s contest, Manning didn’t play great, but he did play well enough to help the Giants win. With the struggles he’s had this year, it was nice to see him lead a game-winning drive once more.
Monday night was the first game this season that Manning threw for more than 2 touchdowns. He has only thrown 2 or more scores just 3 times now this year (including last night).
As good as it was to see him step up and make plays, he still needs to go out and perform like this consistently for this game to mean much. We’ve seen glimpses of him possibly still having some left in the tank, only for him to fall right back to a quarterback who is on the downhill part of his career.
It felt like the Giants Super Bowl years though, as Manning led a game-winning drive to overcome the 49ers. Here’s the game-winning touchdown from Manning to Sterling Shepard.

Of course Manning’s performance has opened up the argument of whether or not he is a hall-of-famer. That is a discussion for another day, but we have to give credit where it is due and Manning deserves some for last night’s win.
Hopefully he can keep it going, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11. If he plays like yesterday, he should have no trouble against this Buccaneers squad who has been continuously gashed through the air this year.
