Limit Turnovers
In a contest that could turn into a shootout, the Giants will need to limit their turnovers.
The Saints are 2-1, but they have allowed the fourth most total yards per game in the NFL. They’ve also allowed 34.3 points per game, which is the most in the NFL.
This is a game, if the Giants play their cards right, that could be decided by one possession. The Giants can’t waste any possessions in this game.
They really can’t afford turning the ball over as well, setting up the dangerous Saints offense in better field position.
The Saints have only turned the ball over four times this year, with the Giants turning it over just three. The Giants will need to continue taking care of the ball.
The Saints have also only gotten one takeaway in three games, giving the Giants the edge on offense.
Manning is a quarterback that you’re always worried about turnovers with. He has been notoriously known for turning it over, especially in inopportune times.
If the Giants want to upset the Saints, they’ll need to be very careful with the ball in their possession.
