Get Saquon Barkley Going
I know the Giants are holding out hope that Eli Manning will figure things out, but they need to hand the keys to the offense to Saquon Barkley.
Barkley has been sensational to begin this year, rushing for 260 yards on 56 carries (4.6 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. He also has garnered 27 receptions for 193 yards through the air.
A multi-dimensional back like Barkley, can help a QB like Manning get into rhythm. Hopefully the Giants realize this before it’s too late.
They need to give him more touches in the run game as well. Just last week, he had only 10 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown. That shouldn’t happen, especially with the difference a player like Barkley can make.
I know the Giants would love to get the connection of Manning to Odell Beckham going, but this can happen if they utilize their rushing attack. This can set up play-action or other opportunities for the passing game to open up.
The Giants will need a heavy dose of Barkley to occur if they expect to muster up a victory over the Panthers in Week 5.
