NFL: 2 bold predictions for each QB in the AFC South in Week 2

Gardner Minshew, Jaguars, Colts, Texans, Titans

Bold Prediction 1: Gardner Minshew will throw three touchdowns

The Jaguars have a lot of young offensive talent. Last week they did an excellent job spreading the ball around to different playmakers. The Titans will have a tough time covering all these shifty receivers. Adoree Jackson’s absence will be felt. DJ Chark could be in for a big game.

Minshew is playing for his future as a starting QB in Jacksonville. The team is rallying around him. Three touchdowns could be a very real possibility for Minshew once again.

Bold Prediction 2: Minshew will have a completion percentage above 70% despite being sacked more than 3 times

Despite Minshew only throwing one incomplete pass last week, the Jaguars o-line still has issues. The Colts have a very good pass rush led by veteran Justin Houston. However, with the addition of Jadeveon Clowney the Titans pass rush may be better.

Minshew will be taken down at least four times this week. However, Minshew is very smart in the pocket. Rarely he forces throws. He will still have a very respectable 70% completion percentage.

Final Word: Gardner Minshew II is playing for his future. However, if he were a first-round selection no one would be questioning him. While he lacks the arm strength of QBs like Josh Allen, he is deadly accurate. He is also a very smart player and a very competitive player.

Gardner led virtually the same offense to a 6-6 record last year despite tons of locker room drama. With most of the distractions taken care of, this team is focused on winning now and not really on which draft pick they will get.
