NFL: 2 bold predictions for each QB in the NFC West in Week 2

49ers, Cardinals, Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Fransisco 49ers

Jimmy Garoppolo Will Start Off with 15 Straight Completions

The 49ers lost in a very close game against the Arizona Cardinals. While it is no time to panic, Garoppolo did miss on what would have been a game winning touchdown on a pass to Kendrick Bourne. While blaming the game on one bad play isn’t fair, Garoppolo did state that it was a deciding factor in the loss.

This week, Garoppolo and the 49ers are facing a porous Jets secondary. He will come out sharp and complete 15 straight passes, one of which will be a touchdown.

Jimmy Garoppolo Will Complete Over 80% of His Passes

Jimmy Garoppolo has earned the reputation as more of a game manager. However, when did that become a bad thing? Garoppolo can deliver the ball with timing and precision anywhere on the field.

Going up against a poor Jets defense should help with Jimmy G’s confidence. Garoppolo will spread the ball around, completing over 80% of his throws. The 49ers will bounce back in a big way, winning by multiple touchdowns.

Final Word: Coming off a tough loss the 49ers must prove they are still an elite team. Facing off against the Jets could be a welcome sign for the 49ers. However, if they take New York lightly the Jets could make things very difficult. I anticipate the 49ers will be out for blood this week however, and should win easily.
