Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams
Jared Goff will complete fewer than 60% of his passes
Last week the Rams came away with a very controversial victory. However, Rams QB Jared Goff had a less than stellar performance. Once again it seemed as though when his timing was off Goff didn’t know what to do with the football.
The Eagles blew a lead against Washington last week. Although that is not entirely on the defense, the Eagles defense will be out to prove something this week. The Rams offensive line still has issues. The Eagles will get in Jared’s face causing for a lot of throw aways and poorly thrown balls.
Jared Goff Will Throw 2 Touchdowns in the Fourth Quarter
Last week the Eagles had a lot of trouble finishing the game. That may be a theme for Philadelphia this year. A big reason could be because of the lack of experience at the linebacker position. Linebacker is often referred to as the leader of the defense.
The Rams have two very good tight ends in Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett. These two will cause issues in the red zone against these Eagles linebackers. Goff may lead a late-game surge, the Eagles may need their offense to step up in the fourth quarter.
Final Word: Goff, much like the rest of this Rams team, is a bit of a wildcard. He has all the arm talent any professional QB would want. Goff has an understanding of the game and has very good timing. However, he still is a middle of the pack quarterback.
The Rams will live and die by how well Goff plays this year. If he is able to make the leap into a quality starter and franchise QB, the Rams may be a playoff team. If not, Los Angeles may be looking for a new QB to add some competition.
