NFL: 3 Running Backs To Keep An Eye On In 2020

The Houston Texans took one heck of a gable this offseason by trading stud wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for running back David Johnson. If this was 2018, this trade may be reasonable. However, Johnson has not been a factor in the league since he rushed for 1239 yards in 2016.

Now, the microscope will be on him as the Texans try to figure out why they gave up their best offensive weapon for a player that has had trouble staying on the field. If the Texans can get the 2016 version of Johnson, then they may have a shot in the division. But if he fails, this will go down as one of the worst trades in NFL history.

In 2019, while with the Arizona Cardinals, Johnson rushed for 345 yards on 94 attempts while playing in 13 games. The Texans finished the 2019 season ranked 12th in attempts and 9th in yards with Deshaun Watson, Duke Johnson, and Carlos Hyde leading the way.
