Eric Berry was a household name in the NFL just a few short seasons ago. He was one of the top safeties in the game and was a coveted target for any team with a need at the position. Unfortunately, a battle with cancer and multiple injuries derailed his career in a big way.
The last season that Berry was able to play a full year was back in 2016. He played all 16 games and ended up recording 77 total tackles to go along with a forced fumble, four interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, and nine defended passes.
Now, he is looking to make an NFL comeback, but has not received much interest so far this offseason. Early on, there were reports about teams having interest in him. However, now that we are late in free agency, teams are going to be looking at guys like Berry as potential low-risk, high-reward signings.
At 31 years old, Berry still has time left to come back at a high level. He has a ton of motivation and would be an intriguing addition for quite a few teams.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four teams who should strongly consider making a move to sign Berry.
