4. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers could still use a boost at the tight end position. They came up empty in their pursuit of Austin Hooper in free agency and decided not to bring back Jimmy Graham in free agency. They did not find an adequate replacement this offseason.

Mercedes Lewis is currently projected as being the Packers’ starting tight end with Jace Sternberger in the secondary role. That’s simply not going to cut it. Neither player is nearly as impactful of a receiving threat Njoku and Green Bay lacks needed dimensions as a result.

Going up against elite defenses like the San Francisco 49ers requires production at a variety of different spots. Acquiring a tight end like David Njoku would make the Pacers’ offense more difficult to slow down considering their running game along with Davante Adams.
