NFL: 5 QBs who could lose their starting job at some point in 2020

There is no position more important than the quarterback in the NFL. It doesn’t take long for underwhelming or uninspired results to result in a team making a drastic change. While some are more patient than others, teams expect big things from this position.

Each season there are starting quarterbacks who must show improvement or they will get benched. A prime example of this in 2019 was Marcus Mariota with the Tennessee Titans. He struggled to perform and the team turned to Ryan Tannehill.

Then there is the case of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who involved Jameis Winston as their starter for all of 2019 but swapped him out with Tom Brady in the offseason. Not all quarterback changes happen mid-season but the case for losing ones job does.

The 2020 season will certainly be no exception when it comes to quarterback controversies. It may take longer to transpire in some instances due to the strange circumstances of this year’s offseason, but that won’t stop expectations for the quarterback from being high.

With that being said, here are five quarterbacks that could lose their starting jobs at some point during the upcoming 2020 season.
