Malcolm Perry — Miami Dolphins
Fans of the Miami Dolphins celebrated in South Beach when the team took Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Dolphins drafted Tagovailoa in hopes he could be the long-term franchise quarterback for the organization.
On the other hand, Miami also added Malcolm Perry — a quarterback out of Navy — in the seventh round of this year’s draft. But unlike Tagovailoa, Perry wasn’t known for throwing the ball in college. Provided that, he is making the transition to wide receiver in the NFL.
In his final collegiate season at Navy, while running the triple-option offense, Perry rushed for 2,017 yards and 21 touchdowns. While he’ll be listed as a wide receiver, Perry could be utilized in a variety of ways with the Dolphins given his unique skillset.
