Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were one win away from the Super Bowl last season. What was missing from that team? Many thought a playmaking wide receiver would have given them a fighting chance against the San Francisco 49ers.
The team’s general manager, Brian Gutekunst, did not address the position much this offseason. Green Bay did sign Devin Funchess, but he isn’t the playmaker that the Packers’ offense needed.
Giving Rodgers a weapon like Josh Gordon would be exactly what the doctor ordered. Fans may not like the idea of bringing in a player with his fair share of off-the-field issues, but he would take Matt LaFleur’s offensive game plan to a new height.
Assuming the price tag to sign Gordon isn’t too high, the Packers should be all over this option. Gordon and Davante Adams would be a deadly wide receiver duo. Green Bay is definitely a team to keep a close eye on.
