NFL: 7 moves we’d like to see get done before the 2020 season

The NFL season is rapidly approaching with the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans set to face off on Sept. 10. There is still plenty of talented players available that could help teams.

Jadeveon Clowney is perhaps the most clear case of a potential late offseason pickup that could make a real impact. He’s been holding off on signing a deal as he awaits a satisfactory offer, and he’s not afraid to sit out of the 2020 season if it doesn’t come.

With the way position battles and strategy shifts occur in training camp, sometimes there are unexpected roster cuts and cap casualties. This offseason didn’t disappoint in this area with Leonard Fournette becoming a free agent after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Let’s not forget about the comeback stories that have yet to be written. A player like Dez Bryant is coming off multiple injuries and hasn’t yet been able to suit up for a game since the end of his tenure with the Dallas Cowboys. Will he find a new NFL home before Week 1?

One move that took a while to develop but finally happened was the Jaguars’ decision to trade Yannick Ngakoue before the 2020 season. He was dealt to the Minnesota Vikings after many months of the situation hanging in the balance.

With that, let’s take a look at seven moves we’d like to see before the 2020 NFL season.
