NFL Analyst Boldly Says Eagles’ Jalen Hurts Is MVP Front-Runner

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles improved to 9-1 with a hard-fought win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11. While they didn’t look good for most of the game, the Eagles made enough plays down the stretch to take home a win. Despite the rough looking game, Hurts had yet another strong all-around performance.

As has been the case almost each and every week, the Eagles’ young quarterback has looked like a budding superstar. Hurts is one of the top up-and-coming signal callers in the game and seems to take another step forward every week.

With that being said, Skip Bayless went on Undisputed today and made a bold statement. He stated that Hurts is the NFL MVP front-runner at this stage of the season.

Getting that kind of an admission from a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan is a big win for Hurts. However, very few could disagree that Hurts belongs in the elite category of that conversation with the season he has had for the Eagles.

So far this season, Hurts has completed 68.3 percent of his pass attempts for 2,407 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. He has also racked up 440 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. One of those touchdowns was the score that sealed the win over the Colts.

At just 24 years of age, there is still plenty of room for Hurts to grow his game. That should be a scary thought for opposing defensive coordinators.

Looking ahead at Week 12 action, the Eagles will play host to the Green Bay Packers. Jalen Hurts will look to get the better of Aaron Rodgers in what should be a very entertaining matchup. A big game on Sunday Night Football would be a nice step towards making the MVP predictions become reality.
