The Kansas City Chiefs have been on a wild playoff run this season, featuring both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift stealing most of the headlines. After a rough path to the Super Bowl, the Chiefs find themselves in the big game once again. This time, they will face off against Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers.
A lot of rumors have been swirling about Kelce’s future. Many believe a proposal to Swift might be right around the corner.
CBS Sports analyst Jordan Dajani has other ideas in mind when it comes to Kelce’s future. He did not hold back from making a massive and shocking prediction for the Chiefs’ superstar.
“After his third Super Bowl win in which he scores a touchdown, with Taylor Swift by his side as confetti falls from the sky, Kelce makes an eyebrow-raising comment concerning his future, saying he’s going to take some time to ponder what’s next. That ramps up retirement speculation, and Kelce ultimately does step away this offseason, just like his brother. ”
Some rumblings recently have suggested that Travis Kelce might be playing in his last NFL season. His brother Jason Kelce has already started the rumors about his own retirement.
A transition from football to the entertainment seems very likely for Kelce at some point in the near future. He has an up-and-coming podcast with his brother Jason that has been on fire of late. Being with Swift also opens up quite a few doors should Kelce be interested in exploring them.
Granted, the urge to return to football may be too much for Kelce to overcome at this stage of his career. He is still one of the top stars in the NFL. But, it will be interesting to see what his next step is going to be.
Expect to get some answers on this question soon after the Super Bowl ends. Will Travis Kelce retire from the Chiefs? Or will he run it back for at least one more year?
