NFL Analyst Opens Up On Davante Adams To Cowboys Possibility

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has caused some waves due to critical comments he made concerning his team for the second time this season, and trade rumors are starting to swirl around the superstar as a result. One team that has been connected in rumors is the Dallas Cowboys.

Most recently, Adams expressed his displeasure with his role in the Raiders’ offense, as he amassed a grand total of six catches on nine targets over the past two weeks. In Week 6, Adams logged just two grabs on five targets in a 21-17 win over the New England Patriots.

Earlier in the season, Adams lambasted Las Vegas’ organizational culture and said that he does not have time to just wait around.

Fans and media pundits are beginning to speculate on potential destinations for Adams in the event of a trade, and former NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant tweeted that he thinks he should head to the Dallas Cowboys.

To no one’s surprise, Cowboys legend Michael Irvin would love for Dallas to add Adams to put alongside of fellow wide out CeeDee Lamb.

A pairing of Adams and Lamb would certainly be incredible and would make the job of Dak Prescott, who has struggled this season, a heck of a lot easier.

Of course, the chances of Adams being dealt before the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline still seem fairly slim. Adams is under contract with the Raiders through 2026, meaning Las Vegas does not have to be in any particular rush to move him. Now, obviously, Adams could demand a trade, but even then, the Raiders can at least keep him for the remainder of the season and then revisit the situation in the spring.

Through the first six games of 2023, Davante Adams has logged 39 catches for 471 yards and three touchdowns. He is now in his second season with the Raiders.

In the meantime, Las Vegas has won two straight games to push its record to .500. It will take on the Chicago Bears this Sunday.
