NFL Analyst Reveals Intriguing Take On Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans were surprisingly aggressive during the 2024 NFL offseason making upgrades to their roster. They brought in several veterans who will help raise the floor of the team and make them more competitive.

Offensively, they made sure to improve the supporting cast around second-year quarterback Will Levis. Veteran wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd were signed to join DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks.

In the backfield, a major loss was suffered when Derrick Henry departed and signed with the Baltimore Ravens. But, the team filled the void by signing Tony Pollard away from the Dallas Cowboys.

With a first-time head coach in Brian Callahan replacing Mike Vrabel, expectations aren’t very high in Tennessee. But, Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report believes they could start to push the envelope of contender status with some recent moves that were made.

“Jamal Adams is a three-time Pro Bowler and still just 28 years old, while 31-year-old Shane Ray once had an eight-season campaign in Denver and could be motivated in what is likely his last NFL shot. Quandre Diggs is coming off a 95-tackle age-30 campaign in Seattle.

Those guys might not put Tennessee over the top, but if they can click in an experienced defense and Levis can excel thanks in part to a battle-tested receiving corps featuring Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd along with the returning DeAndre Hopkins, who knows,” Gagnon wrote.

Those players may not be in their prime any longer, but they are certainly talented enough to help a team win some games. Gaps in the roster have been filled which should make the Tennessee Titans a dangerous team in 2024.

Overlook them and they will surprise you. There should be a lot of motivated players in that locker room who were looked over during free agency and may not have received the kind of contracts they were hoping for.

That can be a recipe for success. If Levis can take some steps in his development with Callahan, this team is going to take multiple steps forward in 2024.

This is a much more talented and deep roster than in years past. If things don’t work out, the short-term commitments some of the aforementioned players received are easier to get out of as well.
