NFL Community Reacts To Aaron Rodgers To Cowboys Rumors

Aaron Rodgers, Cowboys

Everyone has a different opinion about where Aaron Rodgers could end up this offseason if the Green Bay Packers opt to trade him. The most popular suggested landing spots are with the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders.

Jets’ owner Woody Johnson has let it be known that he is willing to do whatever it takes to bring in an upgrade at quarterback. He believes that is the missing piece to making the team contenders and Aaron Rodgers would certainly qualify.

The Raiders have his former go-to receiver Davante Adams in the fold. Pairing them back up would certainly be appealing. But, can Aaron Rodgers and head coach Josh McDaniels co-exist? It worked with Tom Brady for a long time, why can’t it work between those two?

Future Hall of Fame wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald also got in on the prediction game. He was certainly more out there than others, as he wants to see Aaron Rodgers end up with the Dallas Cowboys.

That suggestion has led to some wide-ranging responses from people within the football community on social media. Some users certainly disagreed with Fitzgerald’s take on the situation.

However, some responses were in agreement with Fitzgerald and would love to see Aaron Rodgers wearing the star helmet.

One user had a unique take on the ordeal. They would love to have Aaron Rodgers on the Cowboys, but not as the starting quarterback. Instead, adding him as part of the coaching staff to help Dak Prescott get his career back on track.

Logistically, the chances of Dallas making a move to acquire Aaron Rodgers are very small. They have a high-priced quarterback in Prescott already on the roster and would have to find a taker for him. Given his performance in 2022, that is certainly easier said than done.

In addition to Prescott’s presence, Mike McCarthy being the team’s head coach is something another user believes is the biggest detriment. The disdain Cowboys fans have for him was also mentioned.

Another good point was made, as the Cowboys likely have no chance of trading for Aaron Rodgers because they are in the NFC with the Packers. To have any chance at making a deal they would have to blow Green Bay away with an offer they cannot refuse.

With an asking price reportedly already set at two first-round picks, it would be hard to imagine Dallas mortgaging even more of their future and going beyond that. While Fitzgerald will certainly have stirred up a conversation with his suggestion, it doesn’t seem too realistic of a landing spot for Aaron Rodgers.
