NFL: Evaluating the top 7 winners from training camp in the NFC

The NFC is gearing up to be quite a competitive conference during the upcoming NFL season. There was no shortage of roster changes that occurred in the offseason shifting–potentially shifting the balance of power in some regard.

The rest of the NFC will need to aim to dethrone the San Francisco 49ers, who were the conference representatives in last year’s Super Bowl. They remain a highly impactful team despite experiencing some key departures in the offseason and some injuries entering Week 1.

There are teams like the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, and Seattle Seahawks who are coming off successful regular season performances, but couldn’t quite get over the hump to the Super Bowl. Each team will be back in 2020 looking to make that happen.

There are some teams who had disappointing overall performances in 2019 that will look to bounce-back, including the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams. Each team faced high expectations but failed to live up to them, resulting in missing the playoffs.

Then there are some teams who will aim to take a leap forward after adding pieces to their rebuilding process. The Arizona Cardinals perhaps are the greatest example with the addition of DeAndre Hopkins. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ overhaul meets this mark, too.

For all teams in the NFC, training camp is a valuable opportunity to be able to sort out potential position battles and see where certain players are entering the season. It has afforded analysts and fans to get an idea of what to expect in 2020.

With that, let’s take a look at the top winners from training camp around the NFC ahead of the NFL season.
