Jameis Winston, Saints

Jameis Winston is a truly polarizing quarterback. While Winston lost his starting job to Tom Brady, he still has the talent of a starter. Last season Jameis was somehow one of the best quarterbacks in the league, while also be one of the worst.

Winston is the only QB to throw 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in one season. However, Winston also led the league in passing yards. Last season Jameis Winston was the definition of a gunslinger.

One reason Winston may have had issues last season was because of his poor eyesight. Perhaps he truly couldn’t see the opposing secondary. During a year-end press conference Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians joked about his eyesight stating,

However, Winston had Lasik eye surgery to repair his vision. With corrected vision there is a chance Jameis Winston can return to his former Heisman winning glory.

If you cut the number of interceptions in half, Jameis Winston would have been in MVP consideration. Winston will be sitting behind one of the greatest minds in NFL history, Drew Brees. It is possible that after the eye surgery and a chance to sit behind Brees, Jameis Winston will be able to cut down on those turnovers.

While signing Winston will come with some risks, he comes with high rewards as well. The best thing for Jameis right now is to sit and learn from Sean Payton and Brees. He will soak up their knowledge and head into free agency as a great option at quarterback for a team in need.

With that being said, there are three potential landing spots for Jameis Winston.
