NFL Free Agency 2021: 6 way-too-early landing spots for Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones has become a big name running back in the NFL. He has had some superstar moments for the Green Bay Packers, but that might not be enough to keep him in town.

Jones has expressed that he wants to remain a Packer for the duration of his career. With the Green Bay selecting A.J. Dillon in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, this might not be on the horizon. The running back position has turned into one where teams find replacements easily and the Packers might have found their next one.

During the 2019 season with the Packers, Jones carried the football 236 times for 1,084 yards and 16 touchdowns. Those numbers average out to a very solid 4.6 yards per carry. Jones also caught 49 passes for 474 yards and three touchdowns.

The market on running backs is expensive. Christian McCaffrey received a record-breaking contract of four-years, $64 million. Jones will not sniff that type of money, so he will have to come in at a reasonable price.

If the price is right, here are six teams that could target Jones in free agency.
