NFL Free Agency 2021: 5 way-too-early landing spots for Cooper Kupp

5. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings don’t necessarily need a wide receiver in free agency, but why not? Could you imagine a receiving group of Adam Thielen, Cooper Kupp, and Justin Jefferson? There are definitely possibilities.

Minnesota should just be looking to add strong players where they can. The Vikings took a step in 2019 and defeated the New Orleans Saints during Wild Card weekend. They were not able to get their offense going against the San Francisco 49ers’ defense.

That defense is not going anywhere, which means teams in the NFC will have to get stronger. The Vikings have a quarterback in Kirk Cousins who likes to throw the ball around. In the backfield, Dalvin Cook is one of the top backs and Thielen is a legit No. 1 on the outside.

Kupp is a versatile receiver. He can lineup outside or in the slot. He can run deep routes, short routes, or over the middle. This is a receiver that immediately makes an offense better.

Despite the talent that the Vikings already have on the outside, you can never have too many big-time receivers.
