NFL Free Agency 2021: 5 way-too-early landing spots for Hunter Henry

3. Washington

Similar to the Los Angeles Chargers, Washington is breaking in a young quarterback in Dwayne Haskins– who could use a little bit of help at the skill positions.

For as awesome as Terry McLaurin’s rookie season was, Washington’s cast of skill position players looks more on par with a college team than one ready to compete in the NFL, especially at the tight end position.

With apologies to Jeremey Sprinkle, a tight end with Hunter Henry’s talent could come in and provide Haskins with an immediate upgrade and reliable pass-catcher from Day One.

There are holes on Washington’s roster aside from tight end, but the team will have cap space to burn in 2021, and they would be wise to spend some of it on getting Haskins a reliable tight end like Hunter Henry.
