4. Washington Redskins
As of right now, they are still the Washington Redskins and that is how we will address the team. Over the years, being the Redskins has not been a good thing. Adding a receiver like Schuster could take the offense to the next level.
The defense in Washington is ready to compete. They added Chase Young with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is looking like a player who is ready to dominate from the beginning. He joins a unit along with Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, Montez Sweat, and Matt Ioannidis. Kendall Fuller and Landon Collins are just a couple names that patrol the secondary.
The offense in the nation’s capital is unknown. It all depends on the success of second year quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Many are down on the Ohio State product, but it is unfair to judge a young quarterback after just seven starts. Haskins is throwing to many young receivers. Terry McLaurin burst onto the scene as a rookie and looks like a franchise receiver. Steven Sims and Kelvin Harmon are also pieces that can succeed.
The Redskins will have a chance in 2021 to add Schuster. This would give Haskins a proven receiver and create a dynamic duo with McLaurin. The Redskins made it clear that they want a No. 1 receiver when they offered Amari Cooper a higher deal than the five-year, $100 million deal he signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Schuster could be that option next year.
