1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers moved to address a lackluster rushing attack in April’s draft, as they brought in Vanderbilt running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn in the third round. That also means Ronald Jones is on notice as a piece of the equation with Tom Brady.
Tampa Bay has put themselves into a two-year window to win a Super Bowl while Brady is the quarterback. They used up the meaningful portion of their cap space this year in that effort to win. But according to Over The Cap, they currently have over $63 million in cap space for 2021. Even if the salary cap drops, there will be money available to target need areas.
Running back might wind up being a need area, if only to add a proven commodity to the mix. With the ability to add something in the passing game, it’s easy to see Fournette and the Buccaneers as a solid marriage.
