5. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans have won the AFC South in four of the last five seasons. They still never enter the postseason as real threats to win the Super Bowl. For years, it was their lack of talent at the quarterback position. That is not the case anymore with Deshaun Watson.

Recently, it could be their head coach. Many thought Bill O’Brien could be on the hot seat following the 2019 season. Houston went the complete opposite direction and promoted him to general manager. If O’Brien wants to win over the fan base, he could sign Patrick Peterson to sure up the secondary.

The Texans’ defense has been led by J.J. Watt for many years. The unit has always been incomplete because of their secondary. Bradley Roby is under contract for three more years but there is a potential out following the 2021 season. Gareon Conley will be a free agent following this season. If they want to solidify the secondary, Peterson would be a big time addition.
