NFL Free Agency 2021: 5 way-too-early landing spots for Patrick Peterson

1. Kansas City Chiefs

It has been a busy offseason for the Kansas City Chiefs. They signed Patrick Mahomes to the biggest contract in sports history. The deal is for 10-years and could be worth up to $503 million. News recently broke that they also signed defensive tackle Chris Jones to a four-year, $85 million deal. This is not a team with many holes but one they have is at cornerback.

Kansas City has a chance to turn into a dynasty. They have the best quarterback in the league and skill position players like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Tyrann Mathieu has come into his own in the secondary and Jones is not going anywhere for awhile. Where the Chiefs lack depth is at the cornerback position. Kendall Fuller signed with Washington in March. Bashaud Breeland and Charvarius Ward are slated as the top two corners on the team.

The Chiefs can score enough to beat anyone in the league. Could you imagine their team if they add Patrick Peterson to sure up the defense? We could be looking at 10 or more years of dominance from one team.
