Yannick Ngakoue will not be re-signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars once his contract is up. There is a good chance he sits out this season if he isn’t traded, too. Although the Jaguars have been looking to trade the star defensive end, it seems no teams have been willing to bite yet.

While Ngakoue is a very talented player, he has never been the primary pas rusher. However, he is ready to prove he is no ones sidekick. One of the biggest draws towards his game is his age. He will be only 26-years-old when he enters free agency, so he still has his prime football ahead of him.

Another aspect of Ngakoue’s game that teams love is his ability to strip opposing quarterbacks. In each season, he recorded at least eight sacks while in three of his four seasons, he had at least four forced fumbles. The ability to force turnovers can translate into victories. He is the type of player that can take an average defense and make it great.

Going into next seasons free agency, Ngakoue will be a top priority free agent. Some teams will want to sign him to complement another edge rusher. Others will be looking to him to transform their defense.

With that being said, here are five way-too-early landing spots for Yannick Ngakoue in 2021.
