Dak Prescott, Cowboys, Colts

Dak Prescott

While he has yet to reach an agreement, Dak Prescott should re-sign with the Cowboys. Right now, Dallas has a star back and a quality offensive line. They have a deep receiving core full of talent. Letting this offense grow around Prescott would be their best bet.

While Prescott hasn’t put up MVP like numbers to this point, he has been a very solid starter. He does a good job of limiting turnovers. However, that does not mean he is a check down style quarterback.

In fact, Prescott actually is one of the NFL’s best on throws over 10 yards downfield. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Dak ranks no worse than 5th in most major statistical categories on throws with ten or more yards of air time.

While Prescott receives a lot of criticism, he is coming off a career year. With the addition of CeeDee Lamb, those numbers should get even better. The bottom line is that Prescott is mobile, has a good arm, and is very competitive. He may be the quarterback that can restore the Cowboys to greatness.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys
