Chris Godwin

One half of the best receiver duo in the NFL, Chris Godwin made his value go way, way up last season.

Godwin reeled in 86 receptions for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns. He and Mike Evans now have the benefit of Tom Brady throwing the spirals this season.

The Bucs are projected to have about $14 million in cap space. They failed to reach an agreement with Shaquil Barrett, who they placed the franchise tag on. If they let Barrett walk, that will make Godwin Tampa Bay’s top priority, but even then, there might be a bigger paycheck somewhere else. According to Spotrac, Godwin’s value is set around $16 million annually.

The Washington Football Team are an intriguing option because of their cap space. Their projected to have around $33 million for 2021 That would plenty to give Godwin the money he deserves. If Dwayne Haskins can prove he’s the guy for the future in Washington, the front office will want to go out and get him weapons. Godwin and Terry McLaurin at wide receiver would be a fun duo to watch.

Prediction: Washington Football team
